First pot club in Colorado closes in one day

By Cornelius Nunev

After just one day of operation, the nation's first "pot club" has shut down in Colorado. It was one of two businesses, which permit individuals to bring in their stash and consume it in a spot which is not their home.

Pot clubs announced in Colorado

To be able to say "we can do whatever we want" to the federal government, many states will pass laws that go against federal regulation. Colorado and Washington voters did just that as they decriminalized the use of weed for recreational purposes.

Decriminalizing, for those who don't understand that there is a difference, is where a thing is lawful, but controlled. Legalization is the ablution of any regulation.

There were two "pot clubs" produced right away in Colorado to allow individuals to bring in and smoke their own weed in the place. The White Horse Inn is one of these clubs that violated his lease because he was so interested in opening shop in the short term schedule, according the Huffington Post.

Opened too soon

People can go to a pot club and consume their pot in any way they would like in states such as Colorado and Washington where selling marijuana is illegal.

In Colorado, there were two choices with pot clubs that opened. The White Horse Inn was one of them with booths where people could go, and Club 64 was the other one. Club 64 was named after Amendment 64 that decriminalized pot smoking, according to ABC.

The White Horse Inn lease did not allow the club to start as early as it did and ended up evicting owner Paul Lovato out of the building. Apparently, Lovato was too excited to start the business that he did not look at his lease, and he opened shop one day too soon.

Other club doing perfectly

When looking at the terms of the contract, Lovato was obviously distracted.

Club 64 might actually be a pretty good business. In fact, it does not have a permanent location. It rents out different areas and holds different events. Club members have to have ID proving they are 21 years old to buy in, according to CNN, but it is only $29.99 to become a club member.

Denny's will most likely make a ton of cash nearby selling food after participants are done.
