By Alan Bradd

Your job is not done unless you have found a job. With the current trends, job finding process has become very competitive world over. As a job seeker, you will need a job recruitment agency to assist you with getting a job. This not that simple too as it comes with some uncertainties.

Getting a job out there will mean that you up your game a little bit if you do not want to be left out in the cold world of joblessness. You will need some good references of credited recruitment job agencies that will assist you in the process of finding that job you are dreaming for. Start by checking online for recruitment agencies and also ask for other companies to refer to you some of the best agencies they have worked with before.

Contact your nearest human resource consultant to give you more references of recruitment agencies. Pick a recruitment agency you wish to work with during your job search. Depending on your qualifications and the job industry you are interested in; choose a recruitment agency that is in line with industry. Plan and visit their premises and familiarize with them better.

Draft your resume to meet the job standards you are targeting. This is what will sell you to your recruiters. Make sure it is up to date and it can make good impressions of your capabilities.

Honesty is the best policy. That may sound simple and obvious but stick to it. Be very honest with your recruitment agent. This will enable them discover your weak points and your key strengths. That way, it will be easier for them to advice you on how to work on your weak areas while you maximize on your strengths.

Give enough details to the job agency as much as possible. Tell him about a termination or a conviction of a past criminal offence. As much as you are paying them, they will want you to reflect well upon them on their clients. Make a clear description of the job you wish to be selected for. Give them your terms and qualifications for a better understanding. Do not be too demanding in the process as that will make it hard for the recruiter to connect you to a potential employer.

Once you have been invited and attended an interview ensure you try to make a follow up on the progress of your recruitment process especially if you feel the progress is too slow. Do not be too pushy though as that may destroy your relationship with the agent and see you as an impatient person. Be sure to be open-minded and try to be realistic when you are making demands. If you feel you could be having any kind of doubts about your potential, do not hesitate to seek advice from your recruiting agency.

If by any chance you feel you are not happy on the progress the recruiting agency, talk to them about how you feel. Make an independent decision of whether you want to continue working with them or not. You do not want to be taken for a ride with your money.
